Meet Our Examiners
Andrei Lobanov-Rostovsky
Andrei is the founder and lead examiner at Integrity Polygraph. He has been conducting polygraph examinations since 2010 and has completed thousands of exams across a wide range of specialized and high-risk populations. He is approved by the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board as a Full Operating Level polygraph examiner, authorized to work with adults, juveniles, and clients with developmental disabilities.
Andrei graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed his polygraph training at the Backster School of Lie Detection in 2010, where he graduated first in his class. He has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training in post-conviction testing, chart interpretation, question formulation, and interviewing techniques.
He is a member of the American Polygraph Association, the Colorado Association of Polygraph Examiners, and the National Polygraph Association.
Andrei is known for his strong analytical skills, behaviorally descriptive question formulation, accurate chart interpretation, and effective post-examination interviewing. He has extensive experience collaborating with community supervision teams—including treatment providers, probation officers, and parole officers—and is recognized for maintaining clear, professional communication before and after examinations.
Joshua Appenzeller
Joshua has been a valued member of Integrity Polygraph since 2018. He graduated top of his class from the Backster School of Lie Detection and later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Regis University. He has completed thousands of polygraph examinations throughout his career.
Joshua is trained in both clinical and pre-employment polygraph testing and is a current member of the National Polygraph Association. He is known for his professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to support clients through high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Austin Vaughn
Austin is the newest examiner at Integrity Polygraph and brings strong academic preparation and comprehensive polygraph training. He graduated Cum Laude from Piedmont University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and completed his basic polygraph certification through the PEAK Credibility Assessment Training Center in 2024.
He joined Integrity Polygraph in April 2025 and has been under the direct supervision of Andrei Lobanov-Rostovsky since that time. Austin has also completed APA-recognized PCSOT training and is a current member of the American Polygraph Association.
He brings strong analytical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence as he continues developing his expertise in polygraph testing.
